I used to run a lot in my teenage years, when I was still skinny. And though I’ve lost a lot of weight already (a good 18 kilo’s/40 pounds) I still have a long way to go. Where I am still substantially overweight, it is not the best of plans for me to start running lots straight away, as my knees would not be able to cope with it. This is why I generally cycle. However, now I am no longer obese, I am keen to start running again, I’ll have to slowly build it up though. Hence the ‘Running for Dummies’ scheme. At the end of it you will be able to run for 30 minutes straight. I used this scheme when I got back into running about 3 years ago, together with a friend. And it worked really well for me.
